St Francis Credit Union Clare Community Games had great results on Saturday last at the he National Finals of the U16 Pitch & Putt competitions in Elmhall Golf Club, Elmhall, Celbridge, Co Kildare Three boys and one girl represented Clare. Sean Casey – Sixmilebridge/Kilmurry won silver medal having been beaten by the narrowest of margins with just one shot between them. Amy Corry – Cooraclare/Cree also did her areas, county, and Munster proud when she also came home with a well-deserved silver medal. Also putting in a great show but were unlucky not to feature among the medals were Dylan Corry – Cooraclare/Cree and Fintan George – Lisdoonvarna/Doolin/Kilfenora/Kilshanny.
AMY CORRY
It was a great honour to represent Cooraclare/Cree and Clare community games at the national finals U16 pitch and putt competition at Elm Hall Cellbridge last Saturday. I had put in a lot of practice in the lead up to the competition so to come away with a silver medal was really satisfying. The competition was tough, and the course was in excellent shape. I’d like to thank everyone involved with Cooraclare/Cree and Clare Community Games for this opportunity. Amy Corry.
